A Life Coach is an invaluable asset, helping you achieve your dreams and goals in twice the speed with half the stress, and a Life Coach can help assure you don’t spend many years miserable in the wrong job, or waste precious time climbing a ladder that’s wrong for you. A Life Coach is a great success companion and mentor and your Coach has some amazing modern human technologies and skills to help you find you.

Life Coaching has become a much sought after career these days because actually, everybody needs somebody to bounce ideas off, to champion them, to challenge them, to help them break through barriers and blocks to their success and to help them see clearly. A Life Coach has a bunch of tools and processes to assist you with your decisions, to help you with your problems, to keep you focused and ensure you get where you want to be in life.

As a Life Coach, you take people through a series of sessions, often 6 sessions, and each session focuses on a different aspect of life. A Life Coach never gives people advice. Life Coaching is not about advice, it’s about taking people through very specific technically advanced processes that help people find their own solutions. Life Coaching is about asking excellent questions that unlock the hidden potential in a person. A Life Coach learns all the processes and learns the excellent questions that need to be asked.

6 Life Coaching sessions involve the following:

In the first session you’ll decide what you want in life and where your life is headed. Then you’ll get in touch with all the things you’d love to do in life. You’ll set some goals and make a plan for how to easily achieve them, listing your strengths and weaknesses. The processes you go through on this session are:

Alignment of Self Process - where am I now?
The Disney Model, Dreamer, Realist, Critic
Well formed outcomes, goals - where do I want to be?

In the second session you’ll evaluate how far you’ve come and what action steps you’ve taken so far towards the plans set in the first session.

Then you’ll examine your environment to see what’s good about it and what’s not so good, and what needs changing.  Your environment includes where you work, live and play and who you work, live and play with.

You’ll do a personality assessment to discover what you’re good at and what you’re not so good at. This enables you to play more to your strengths so it’s easier to win in the game of life.

In the third session, you’ll again evaluate how far you’ve come and what you need to work on.

In this session you’ll look at your skills and capabilities to decide if you need more training or more or different experiences to increase your capabilities and competencies. For example, you might have discovered you need more people skills, or perhaps more confidence, or maybe you need more education or experience in some area.

Then you’ll set a goal for how you can get the learnings or capabilities you need to accelerate your success.

Your Life Coach will take you through some great processes to increase your confidence and self belief and teach you to get into an excellent state at will with Anchoring.

In the fourth session, after assessing your progress so far, you’ll take a look at your beliefs about yourself and your values.

Are you doing the things you love and loving the things you do?
Are you living in alignment with your values?
Are you making the time to do the things that are most important to you?
Have you got your work/life balance right?
Are you enjoying your life and taking time for yourself?

In the fifth session you’ll be working on your identity. How do you define yourself? What do you think of yourself? Are you the person you want to be?

In this session you’ll define yourself in your own terms and raise your self esteem, self belief and self image. If there are traits you admire in others but assume you lack yourself, you’ll be shown how to model the excellence you see in others and install it into yourself with the ‘New Behaviour Generator’ process.

You’ll learn the technique for responding to criticism so you can truly become independent of the good or the bad opinion of others.

In the sixth and final session, you’ll make all the adjustments that have proved necessary over the preceding 5 weeks of self discovery and advancement. You’ll choose your life purpose, and you’ll be far better equipped to do that now.

If you’ve discovered any blocks or limitations, they’ll be dealt with in this session and removed.

You’ll work on your own internal dialog and learn how to ask yourself very good empowering questions and refrain from asking yourself negative or self defeating questions.

You’ll be well on your way to making your life the very best it can be.

Whether you’re coaching executives or teenagers or housewives or young budding junior managers, the procedure is exactly the same. The only difference is YOUR life experience and expertise. If you’ve ever been an executive, you’ll know how to lean all your sessions towards the life that executives live and the issues they face. Likewise, if you’ve ever been a teenager or a housewife, you’ll know how to gear the sessions towards that.
