We’re all completely innocent

We’re all completely innocent, no matter what we do
In our own eyes we’ve done what’s right, it was the others due
So, who of us is bad I ask, since we all think we’re good
We know the reasons why we do what we think we should
Yet many deeds when cleanly stripped of all their reasons why
Are wicked things within themselves yet to our self we lie
We feel offended, hurt and wronged, emotions rise up swift
We pioneer for justice with an iron heart and fist
Wreaking havoc, pain and curse, destroying other lives
All the while believing it is ‘good’ for which we strive
Punishing the others wrongs appears to be so right
Hanging, whipping, jailing, and we hurt them with our might
Because they’ve done what we believe is bad in our opinion
We take on God’s exclusive rights and reign with great dominion
I’ve never met a human yet who honestly agrees
That what he chose to do was bad, unless he’s on his knees
If we could really want to know the other person’s story
We’d reach an understanding that would realize man’s glory
